I cried when I read the story of Nolan - thank God for the staff and volunteers at the Florenceville vet clinic and all dun roamin. I am always reminded that they never gave up on Hagrid when other vets might have. God bless all who are involved.

Hi, Just welcomed Crankshaft and Codger into our homes last night. So far so good, Codger getting the feel of the place and Cranky staying low for now , but I know she did losts of exploring last night after lights out.
Keep up the great work.
Wishing the best of luck to all the homeless pets....

Ray, I thank you so much for giving a home to Chiffon and Chickory. Loved your comment : ) and Margo, I agree! Codger is a very loving cat with so much to offer! I love how he has loved the new cat Cranky. And Bonnie, I agree, love your compassion and giving Dr. Drost and your articles.

Chicory now named Christoper "Kit" Marlowe and Chiffon now named Maggie McGonagall send greetings from Plaster Rock; they have settled in and do not seem to have plans to leave any time soon. They have brought life into a home that was in a severe state of grief. Hagrid may have gone to Rainbow Heaven, but his spirit watches over these two new members of my family. It is not easy becoming a new dad at age 63. but I am learning to cope and make changes to various rooms as needed. They say thanks as do I.

I need to talk about Codger...what a gentleman! He is in the Old Fogies room with Cranky he is so sweet to her. Codger is doing everything he can to make her feel welcome and sits closely by her for reassurance without smothering her. They are a very cute (and unexpected) couple!

Dr. Drost, i just read your article about losing your dog. As my heart broke for you, I started smiling and tears rolled. (and i'm at work). It's funny how they can become so much a personality you can count on to be perfect at being themselves and proud of it. It's been four mths since my dog died, sudden and unexpected as well. I was nodding and thinking "me too" as i read about her less then perfect traits that put me in the same position as you. I would give anything for one more drive that ends with that "we're you looking for me?" smile that means i'm tired, i'll take a ride now :) i hope she gets to run with joey, he didn't tire easy and was also an escape artist, they'd have been a great pair. I hope your heart heals sooner then later...
