ADOPTED CATS 2023
Jude |
"Jude" came to us from the Woodstock area on October 18, 2023, where it was reported he was not in good shape medically. Born about September 13, 2023, he was too young to be away from his mom and would not have made it on his own as he was underweight, had a protruding anus and a secondary anal infection as a result. He was light as a feather and had diarrhea stuck to his rear. Jude ate strict and healthy Royal Canin diet so that he could become strong and healthy again as soon as possible. Thanks to his new vet friend who ensured he was prescribed all medical help he would need. Thanks to everyone who donated to make sure he received all medication, food and care that he required. Due to his extreme cuteness, we received an extremely large number of applications to adopt this little guy. We hoped that he might go to a home with a kitten of similar age so that he would never have to be alone again, and . . . . . . on December 26, 2023, that is exactly what happened! Jude now lives in the New Maryland area with his family that includes both human and feline members. Congratulations, Jude! You got it made! Merry Christmas!! |
Destiny |
"Destiny" came to us on November 30, 2023 from the Florenceville area where she was hanging around trying to find food and shelter. She had obviously been in a home before, because she was desperate to get food and shelter. Destiny was born about March 30, 2023. She was cold, wet and very hungry. Destiny is a very sweet little girl. She is attentive, friendly, cuddly and loves humans. She is happy to be indoors and not have to experience the snow, rain and cold temperatures she has in the past while. She is grateful for her warm bed and is starting to put on weight thanks to the nutrition with which she is now provided. On December 27, 2023, Destiny met a lady who fell in love with her, and Destiny was more than happy to be cuddled and loved by her. She will now be a resident of Woodstock where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams. Congratulations, Destiny! Send lots of photos! What a great Christmas present!! |
Brady |
"Brady" came to DunRoamin' on May 25, 2023 from Centreville. He had "blocked," which means urine could not escape his body and was building up in his system. He needed medical care which no one could provide. Brady had been neutered, been catheterized and had blocked again. He is now eating a prescription diet of Royal Canin S/O food - we have had dozens, if not hundreds, of cats on this diet, and have had no recurrences, so IT WORKS!! As long as he eats this diet, he should be fine! Brady is a very nice boy who was born about July 9, 2022. Brady is an extremely affectionate little boy. He demands attention - he loves to be petted, picked up and cuddled! He is hoping for a family who will offer him an unlimited amount of cuddles and who will promise to keep him on his prescription food so that he can stay healthy! Please reach out to us if you would like to meet this handsome boy! On December 29, 2023, Brady was officially adopted by a family who already has DunRoamin' cats who currently eat a Royal Canin S/O diet, so he is happy to join them! Brady now lives in Kingston, ON! Congratulations, Brady! Be a good boy and enjoy your new world! Don't forget to write! |
"Winnifred" (black) and her friend "Warlock" (tabby) came to DunRoamin' on October 14, 2023 from Lakeville where it was reported they had been found tied to a porch of the house when the people awoke in the morning. These people could not help them, so with no other option, they came to us. Warlock and his sister Winifred were born about October 19, 2022. They were in relatively good condition but, of course, being outdoor cats, had parasites such as fleas. They were immediately treated for parasites and will be spayed/neutered/tested for FIV and FeLV and have already started their vaccine protocol. Warlock is the more outgoing of the two, but his sister is gaining ground in great strides - she loves to be scratched at the base of her tail - elevator butt! Please come meet these beautiful little cats. They are very close and hope to be fortunate enough to find a home together. On December 16, 2023, Warlock and Winifred got their Christmas wish when they were adopted together to a very nice family that lives in Fredericton. They will each have their own young human to love, and they get to stay together! Congratulations, guys! This is the very best Christmas ever, for you AND for your family! Don't forget to send family photos!! |

"Alma" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Part of a colony in the Florenceville area, she, three adult female mothers and eleven more kittens (three male, nine female) were not doing well. Although they had shelter, they did not have enough food, were all underweight and had fleas, ear mites, worms and a very bad upper respiratory infection. They are all now receiving a nutritious diet as well as medications four times daily. Donations to help with food and meds for these fifteen cats and kittens are greatly appreciated. Alma was born about May 11, 2023. She is a beautiful black kitten who is being treated for upper respiratory infection with medications four times daily and provided with lots of food which she and her family are devouring with gusto every day. Alma has been treated for all parasites. Once she is healthy, big and strong enough, she will be spayed, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV. Then, she hopes to go to a home where she will be safe and loved forever. She'd love to be adopted with a sibling or at least go to a home that has other cats - she has never been alone and she loves her huge family - there's always someone to sleep, play or cuddle with! On December 16, 2023, Alma went to live with her new best friends in Fredericton. She had chosen them all by herself - each time they entered The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe, she made her way directly to them and climbed onto their lap for a cuddle and nap, never leaving until they had to go home. This time, she got to go with them! ongratulations, Alma, you hit the jackpot! And so did your new family! Merry Christmas! |

"Dennis" came to us on August 13, 2023, from Hartland where he had been a stray who had been hanging around for several months. On this day, he displayed injuries, so he came to us for help. Dennis was so badly matted that it was difficult to confirm his gender. He had injuries to both hind legs, one of which contained several maggots, so his injuries were definitely not newly-inflicted. He also had parasites and was dehydrated, as well as underweight and hungry. Dennis spent his first 10 days at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic until he was deemed stable and healthy enough to come back to us. His injuries had required much medical attention which included several bandages which had to be changed frequently. He is now doing much better, but is on medication and must wear a cone until his wounds heal sufficiently to not bother him. Stay tuned - we'll keep you up to date as we learn more. On December 10, 2023, Dennis got an early Christmas present. A lady who had previously seen him from afar had immediately fallen in love with him and what was meant to be is now the best thing ever for both of them. And, as an additional bonus for both, Adeline got to go with him, so they both now live happily in Hartland with their new servant and best friend. Congratulations to everyone! Please send lots of photos! We will all miss you! |

"Adeline" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Adeline was born about May 11, 2023. She is a beautiful tortie kitten who is being treated for upper respiratory infection with medications four times daily and provided with lots of food which she and her family are devouring with gusto every day. Adeline has been treated for all parasites. On December 10, 2023, Adeline was very excited to get the best Christmas present ever! She was adopted by a very nice lady in Hartland, NB, and her friend Dennis got to be part of the family, too! They have been friends for quite some time and are very happy to be chosen at such a wonderful time of year. Congratulations to everyone. Please send lots of photos - we look forward to seeing you both with your new home and family! |

Genevieve |
"Genevieve" came to DunRoamin' on September 2, 2023 from Wakefield where she had been a stray who had been hanging around that no one wanted. She was very skinny, dehydrated and had diarrhea. Born about December 28, 2022, Genevieve is just a young girl - not yet a year old. She is beautiful and, although she was nervous with us at first, she has settled in very well. She does best on a special diet (we feed her Royal Canin Selected Protein). She is already enjoying her new place at DunRoamin' where she even has a window with a view! She is looking forward to being adopted into a permanent family where she will be safe and loved forever. On December 6, 2023, Genevieve met a lady from Saint John who immediately fell in love with her. She had seen her from afar and wished to meet this beautiful little girl. They immediately became best friends, and now Genevieve is in her forever home. Congratulations to everyone!! Send lots of pictures, Genevieve!! |
Grizzly PALS! |
"Grizzly" came to us on September 22, 2023 from the Newbridge area where he had been found all alone. He was tiny, had fleas and was much too young to be away from his mom. He is grateful to the lady who found him and brought him for help - he never would have survived on his own. Now he has a chance for a wonderful life with a family who will love and care for him forever. Grizzly is very young and will require to be fed every two hours around the clock for the upcoming weeks to ensure he gets the nutrition he requires to grow big and strong. We are SO very grateful to his new vet tech friend who has offered to foster him to ensure he is able to grow up big and strong. Thanks, Marley, you are priceless. We hope that in a few short weeks Grizzly will be fortunate enough to have been chosen to have a brand new family, once he has been neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Thanks to everyone who has helped this little boy by rescuing, fostering, donating and loving. Hank and his pal Grizzly are fostered together and have become the best of friends. We hope they can find a home together - they have grown very attached to each other, and they are the same age, so they feel like they are brothers! On December 2, 2023, Hank and Grizzly were elated to head for their new home in Hampton, NB, where they will live happily ever after with their two human parents and their new young human best friend, all of whom love them dearly! Thank you for adopting these two beautiful little boys so that they may stay together and have the life they deserve! |
Hank PALS! |
"Hank" came to DunRoamin' on September 24, 2023 from a shelter that was overwhelmed with cats and unable to take on a tiny kitten who was not eating on his own and was too young to be away from his mother. Hank is a sweet little boy who had been left behind when his mother moved his other siblings, so he had no one. Born about August 28, 2023, Hank is not yet eating on his own, but is starting to show an interest. In the meantime, he is being fed by syringe every few hours and being stimulated to pee and poop, as his mother would have done had he been with her. This handsome, sweet little pewter grey boy is doing well under the watchful eyes of his caregiver. He will undergo his protocol of neuter, full vaccines and boosters, FIV and FeLV testing, parasite control and lots of love, cuddling and attention. Then he will be ready for a home of his very own. He can't wait! He'd love to have a home with a kitten of his own age so he can run, cuddle, play and always have a feline friend with him. He currently has foster siblings, and he loves them! |
Gruber Zevon |
"Gruber" and "Zevon" came to DunRoammin' on October 30, 2023 from the Centreville area as strays whom no one recognized. Brothers born about September 16, 2023, both have wonderfully positive and loving personalities, so they definitely had human interaction their arrival at DunRoamin'. Zevon is a healthy little boy with no medical issues - he just needs love and a family with whom to grow up so he can show what a loving, sweet and wonderful little boy he is. And of course, he will receive full vaccines, neuter, FIV and FeLV testing and parasite control to make him 100% up to date and give him a great start for the new life and family of which he dreams! Gruber is also one of the sweetest little boys you could ever meet. He is loving, attentive, affectionate and very attached to his brother - they wrestle, roll, play and cuddle together constantly. Gruber's left ear is partially missing, and his left eye cannot close due to a corneal ulcer that went untreated for a period of time. He is now on medication for his eye and is feeling much better. We'll keep you up to date on his medical progress and the condition of his ear/hearing as we learn more once his vet has examined him after his medications have had time to do their job. Stay tuned! These boys are a very sweet bonded pair who hope to have the privilege of a loving family soon - they look forward to a wonderful life together in a warm, loving home. It's their dream! On December 1, 2023, Gruber and Zevon were officially accepted into their permanent home where they will be loved unconditionally forever by their new family! Congratulations on your new home in Johnville, NB. Send lots of photos, guys! We'll miss you! |

Although they had shelter, they did not have enough food, were all underweight and had fleas, ear mites, worms and a very bad upper respiratory infection. "Henrietta" came to DunRoamin' originally in April, 2023, when she had been dropped off in a box with her four kittens at a home who could definitely not take her in. Henrietta raised her four beautiful kittens, Hayden, Hoover, Hansen and Heist and they all found homes. Henrietta was then adopted to a wonderful family in July, but due to unforeseen medical issues of her adopters, they were unable to keep her and she came back to us on August 12, 2023. Then, shortly afterward, she met the very nicest couple who fell in love with her. She was their first cat, but unfortunately, her new adopted father displayed a very bad allergic reaction that allergy medication was not able to control, so with a very sad heart, he was forced to return her. This was a very sad day for him, as he had fallen completely head over heals for this "perfect cat." Henrietta was born about April 19, 2021 and is just as described: a "Perfect Cat!" She is currently staying with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton. She loves it there, and you will, too! Please drop in, have a cup of coffee and a treat and say hello! On November 25, 2023, Henrietta went to her new home in Yoho, NB, where she will be loved beyond her wildest dreams. Congratulations, Henrietta. It may have been what seemed like a long time coming, but this is IT!!! Congratulations! Don't forget to write! |

"Blythe" came to DunRoamin' on September 13, 2023 from the Woodstock area. Born about June 15, 2023, she was a stray who had come to a home asking for help. As this home was already helping several strays, she came to us. She had worms, fleas, was skinny and had an upper respiratory infection. Blythe is a beautiful buff grey tabby whose colours are very unique. She is extremely grateful for her soft warm bed and plentiful delicious, nutritious food. She will soon be rid of her many parasites thanks to the medication with which she was quickly provided, which will make her much more comfortable. Once she has put on some weight and become a little more healthy, she will begin her protocol of vaccinations, spay, FIV and FeLV tests and complete her parasite control regimen. Once this is done, she is looking forward to a loving home with people who will appreciate a young, loving and very affectionate little girl. She spends much time purring, rolling and kneading when she sees a human - this is how she's showing her gratitude. She would prefer a home with another young cat as she came from an area where there were frequent strays so she is used to being with other cats. On November 25, 2023, Blythe was welcomed into her new home in Saint John where she will be a new sister for Tulip and Delilah (formerly DunRoamin's Hayden). She settled in immediately and is SO very happy in her new home. We are grateful to your new family for adopting you, Blythe. Congratulations to all!! |

Wynn |
"Wynn" came to DunRoamin' on October 10, 2023 from the Pole Hill area where he was found laying in a stream. He was rescued from the stream and place in a sheltered area under a deck, but the next morning he was covered in diarrhea and blood. Wynn was accepted by DunRoamin' and, upon his initial appointment with his new vet friend the following was learned: he was born about April 10, 2023, so is only about six months old; he had fleas; he was very hungry (he ate a whole can within his first few hours) and he is exhausted - perhaps from trying to stay alive on his own. Wynn is a sweetheart. He does nothing but eat, sleep (as he will for the next several weeks until he is in better physical shape) and purr. He shows his gratitude for his warm, soft bed, friends and plenty of nutritious food. He will be looking for a nice safe home and family very soon - he certainly deserves it! He will be fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and neutered - then, he'd like to have a home, please!! On November 25, 2023, Wynn met a young couple from Woodstock who have Bluebell, a former DunRoamin' cat. When they met Wynn, there was absolutely no choice for any of them - they knew they were meant for each other!! Wynn will move in with his new family once his neuter, tests and final vaccines are complete - he can't wait! It seems forever, even though it will only be a week or so. Congratulations to you and your family, Wynn - way to go!!! |
Domi |
"Domi" came to DunRoamin' on September 20, 2023 from Florenceville where he had been found in a mud puddle on a cool morning just after midnight. He was cold, dehydrated, and too young to be away from his mother. Domi was named in honour of Toronto Maple Leafs hockey greats Tie Domi and his son Max Domi. Domi was born about August 15, 2023 and came from a colony of cats we have been trying to help by spaying and neutering as many as we can. Davy, Skyler, Sable, Schneider, Severus, Sega, Mew, Mewtwo al came from the same location, so we are happy to be able to help these little ones. Spaying and neutering are VERY important aspects of every cat's life. Domi is eating soft food on his own and it appears that he will be fine. We're hoping to find him a home in the future once he has been neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. He is a vocal little sweetheart! On November 18, 2023, Domi met his new family members who are all in complete and utter awe of what a wonderful, sweet, playful and amazing little boy he is! Domi now lives in Fredericton with his new human family and his new feline brother, Ash. Congratulations to all! Send lots of photos - we can't wait to see as you grow up with your new family! |
Joanna |
"Joanna" came to DunRoamin' from the Grand Falls area on October 7, 2023. She had no one who would care for her, her life was in jeopardy and she had no other alternative, so she came to us. She was born about March 30, 2019. Joanna is an attentive, quiet, beautifully-coloured long-haired little girl who is very sweet and loving. She had scabs on her body as a result of flea bites and was diagnosed with flea allergy dermatitis. She will require flea medication on a routine schedule to ensure she does not become re-infected and have to endure the misery of scabs, itchiness and possible infection. Joanna also had some ear mites which have been treated. She is already spayed and tested for FIV and FeLV and is just waiting for her final set of vaccines before she will be ready for a home where she will be loved forever. Joanna weighs just a little short of nine pounds, has gorgeous long fur and is an affectionate, beautiful little girl who loves interaction and attention. She loves to flop on her side so that she can receive a nice belly rub, and will purr a very long and loud time! Please come meet her - she's a very nice little girl! On November 17, 2023, Joanna met a very nice young lady from Fredericton and they immediately fell in love with each other. Congratulations on your new home and family, Joanna! Send lots of photos!! |

They are all now receiving a nutritious diet as well as medications four times daily. Donations to help with food and meds for these fifteen cats and kittens are greatly appreciated. On November 12, 2023, Amari was very happy to be adopted into a family in Fredericton where she will be a new sister for two former DunRoamin' cats, Shoobie and Newbie, now known as Sammy and Simba. Congratulations on your new family members and thank you for giving another DunRoamin' cat a wonderful home. Send lots of photos of you and your new family, Amari - we can't wait to see all three of you together! |

Mew and Mewtwo |
"Mewtwo" came to DunRoamin' on August 15, 2023, from Florenceville - the same location from which Mew arrived, so we believe they are sisters. Mewtwo was not in good shape at all. She had severe URI and weighed only 14 ounces. Her birthdate was estimated at June 29, 2023, so she was only about six weeks old. She was not really interested in eating, but thanks to medical care, was soon doing much better. As of August 28, 2023, she is back with her sister, Mew, and they are both healthy enough to be playing and eating up a storm. Stay tuned - we'll keep you up to date on her progress, but it looks like they will both be fine. On November 12, 2023, Mew and Mewtwo were welcomed into a home in Fredericton by a young couple who had initially noticed Mew, but when they met Mewtwo and realized the sisters were bonded and had never been separated, they opted to adopt both so that they would always be together. This means SO much to them, and to us, too. Thank you for taking these two little beauties into your family. We look forward to lots of photos and updates as they grow.

Mew |
"Mew" came to us on August 8, 2023 from the Florenceville area where she most probably was born to a colony of feral cats that we have been attempting to spay/neuter for several years. Mew was found very early in the morning in a hedge all alone in the rain - not a great start for such a little one. She was born about June 29, 2023 and had conjunctivitis, low muscle mass and ropey intestines. She weighed only a pound. She was provided with parasite control and medication for her upper respiratory infection. Mew is currently being fed by syringe to ensure she gets the nutrition she needs and is doing well. She is very vocal when she sees her human servants and is very social. She is a lucky girl, as she would have had almost no chance of survival had she not been found. Stay tuned for more info on this beautiful little girl. On November 12, 2023, Mew and Mewtwo were welcomed into a home in Fredericton by a young couple who had initially noticed Mew, but when they met Mewtwo and realized the sisters were bonded and had never been separated, they opted to adopt both so that they would always be together. "Amber" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Part of a colony in the Florenceville area, she, two other adult female mothers and twelve kittens (three male, nine female) were not doing well. Although they had shelter, they did not have enough food and they were all underweight and had fleas, ear mites, worms and a very bad upper respiratory infection. They are all now receiving a nutritious diet as well as medications four times daily. Donations to help with food and meds for these 15 cats and kittens are greatly appreciated. Only about a year old, Amber was born about June 29, 2022. She is a very nice girl who was doing her best to help feed and care for the dozen kittens around her. She is being treated for upper respiratory infection and has a scar on the cornea of her left eye, but it appears that, with medication, she will be fine. She has been treated for all parasites. Once she is better and her kittens are weaned, she will be spayed, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV. Then, she hopes to have a home where she will be safe and loved forever. Update 2023-08-06: Amber, Ayla and Alanis have gone to visit there cousins at the Purrfect Cup in Fredericton. Why don't you stop by and visit them while enjoying a nice coffee! On November 12, 2023, Ayla and Amber were very excited to go to a new home together where they will be spoiled rotten for the rest of their lives. They are definitely in love with their new family, and we are SO grateful that these two sisters get to stay together. Congratulations to everyone!

Caitlyn |
"Caitlyn" came to DunRoamin' on June 22, 2022 from the Bedell area with her sisters Celeste, Caterina and Carmella, all of whom have found homes. Caitlyn was born about June 22, 2019 and is loving and affectionate. All were relatively healthy, having such issues as mild gingivitis, coarse coat, mild tartar and/or parasites. Caitlyn is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Caitlyn spent some time as a Cats for Seniors cat, but she is now back with us waiting on her very own furever family. She is a very affectionate girl and would love to someone to cuddle with or a lap to curl up on for naps. On November 9, 2023, Caitlyn was adopted to a wonderful home in Fredericton where she has been promised that she will be spoiled and loved for the rest of her life! Congratulations, Caitlyn! Write soon! |
Ariel |
"Ariel" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Ariel was born about May 11, 2023. She is a beautiful little kitten who was lethargic upon arrival. She is being treated four times daily for upper respiratory infection and provided with full bowls of food which she and her family are devouring with gusto every day. She has been treated for all parasites. Once she is healthy, big and strong enough, she will be spayed, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV. Then, she hopes to have a home where she will be safe and loved forever. She'd love to be adopted with a sibling or at least go to a home that has other cats - she has never been alone and she loves her huge family - there's always someone to sleep, play or cuddle with! On November 4, 2023, both Amethyst and Ariel were elated to be chosen as the new best friends of a young couple from Fredericton. As sisters, they get to stay together forever! Congratulations to you and to your family - it's a GREAT day!! |

"Agnes" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Agnes was born about May 11, 2023. She is a beautiful feisty calico kitten with an attitude that is most probably the best reason she is still alive. Weighing only one pound upon arrival, she was sluggish and lethargic. Her upper respiratory infection had progressed to the point that, even with the intensive care and medications she is receiving, she may still require her right eye to be removed. She is being treated for upper respiratory infection with medications four times daily and provided with lots of food which she and her family are devouring with gusto every day. We hope to save her eye, but the damage may be beyond repair. We are still hoping, though! Agnes has been treated for all parasites. She and her brother Alfred are particularly close, and they have similar personalities. Within days of receiving care, they were strong and willing enough to climb the legs of their caregivers to nuzzle their necks to say thank you. And they are PLAYING now! Wow! On November 4, 2023, Agnes was so very happy to be adopted by a very nice lady in Fredericton who also has another DunRoamin' cat, Cadeau (now known as Nala). Check out our Facebook page to see them both! Congratulations, Agnes - best home ever!! You and Nala are going to be the very best of friends! |

Wave |
"Wave" Wave was born about May 23, 2022. He originally came to us on June 26, 2022 from Long Settlement where he was found on a porch all alone. His rescuer could not keep him and he had no other help, so he came to us. Wave is a sweetheart who is a typical loving, playful, attentive kitten. On September 3, 2022, he was adopted, but his kitten antics were too much for his new owner to handle, so he came back to us. Wave is a really sweet, typical kitten who hopes for a new home, preferably with another cat or a kind human with whom to play and cuddle. He is very playful and loving and hopes only for a loving home. On October 25, 2023, Wave was adopted by his foster family. He now resides in Riverbank where he is spoiled beyond his wildest dreams! Congratulations, Wave! |
"Henrietta" originally came to DunRoamin' on April 19, 2023 from Woodstock, along with her daughter Hayden and three sons, Hoover, Hansen and Heist, her kittens who have since found homes. Henrietta was born about April 19, 2021 and is a sweet little girl. She is quiet, attentive and loving - someone who would make a perfect friend and companion. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and ready to go to a loving home. On July 22, 2023, Henrietta was so very happy to be adopted by a family in Fredericton, but unfortunately, medical issues within the family required that she be returned to us. Her family will miss her terribly, but as Doris Day said, "Whatever will be will be!" Henrietta returned to us on August 12, 2023, and is back with her friends at The Purrfect Cup where she awaits new friends to welcome her into a home. Please drop in to The Purrfect Cup, enjoy some coffee, snacks and the companionship of so many beautiful cats! Congratulations, Henrietta - write soon!! |

"Severus" came to DunRoamin' on June 26, 2023 from the Florenceville area along with his siblings Schneider, Severus and Sega. We believe they are all siblings to Skyler who had been rescued from the same location three days previously. All had upper respiratory infection and are being treated. They are recovering very quickly and well, thanks to a warm, safe bed, nutritious food and appropriate medication to help. And, of course, lots of love and cuddles from their caregivers can't hurt!! Severus was born about May 12, 2023 and is a beautiful little boy. He and his siblings need to put on some weight and will eventually be fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. They will be ready for homes by mid August, 2023. We hope that they might be adopted in pairs or to homes that have kittens of similar ages, as they have never been apart from each other and have always had someone to curl up, sleep and play with. "Hugh" came to DunRoamin' on July 12, 2023 from Greenfield where he was a stray who was reported to be injured and had no one to help him. Hugh was examined by his new vet friend who determined that he had an extremely minor wound on his right hind leg that would heal on it's own. Hugh has a heart murmur but is fine, it's a common thing for a cat to have. Hugh was determined to have been born about July 13, 2021, so was about two years old. Hugh is a very friendly and sociable cat. He will soon be fully up to date on his vaccines, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. He hopes for a home and family where he might live out the rest of his days being spoiled and loved. He looks forward to it very much. Jeffrey |
"Jeffrey" came to DunRoamin' on June 17, 2023 from Somerville where his owners could not care for him. He was healthy, is neutered and will be tested for FIV, FeLV and treated for all parasites. Jeffrey is a very vocal little boy who requires a lot of interaction, either with humans or other cats. He would like to be adopted into a home where people are home all the time, or at least to a home with one or two other cats to ensure he has lots of company, interaction and stimulation. He is very friendly, loving and active. He was born about November 20, 2021. He will be ready to go to a new home by late July - that's not far away!! On October 12, 2023, Jeffrey learned that he had earned a place of love and honour in the home of his favourite person. Now renamed Beamer, he lives in Fredericton with former DunRoamin' cats Snowflake (adopted in December 2017) and Bozeman (adopted in October 2020). We'd like to thank his new family for making all his dreams come true. You are a very lucky little boy, Beamer! Congratulations!! |
Aspen |
"Aspen" originally came to us on August 10, 2018 from Upper Brighton where she was a stray who had been observed to have an injured eye. She was born about June 10, 2018. Due to her eye injury, it was necessary to have her right eye removed. All aspects of her health were rectified, she was spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites before being adopted to a gentleman who loved her dearly. On September 29, 2023, a very nice couple from East Centreville noticed a cat hanging around their home and identified her as Aspen from her adoption photo on our website. She had been taking shelter in the culvert in their driveway and they were providing food for her, but they were worried that she might be struck by a vehicle. It was later learned that her original owner had passed away and her story from there is unknown, but she is very fortunate that this couple noticed her, took an interest and provided assistance. Aspen was returned to DunRoamin' where she was immediately examined by her new vet, treated for all parasites, tested for FIV and FeLV and her vaccines were brought up to date. It was learned that she was overweight, had some parasites and some chin acne, but she is now going to be just fine! On September 29, 2023, Aspen was extremely fortunate to have her rescuers officially adopt her so that she would have a safe and permanent home again. Congratulations, Aspen! You'll have a wonderful family for the rest of your life!! Aspen is already very content to sit on her rescuer's lap and express her gratitude and contentment every day! We thank them for recognizing this little girl, looking out for her and ensuring that she will have the life and love she deserves. |
Darius |
"Darius" came to DunRoamin' on April 28, 2023 from the Woodstock area where he had been a stray who had been hanging around for some time - at least since 2021 - and kind neighbours had been feeding him. One gentleman noticed that Darius appeared to have lost a significant amount of weight in the recent weeks and he had large number of scars on his head and back that had not been there previously. Darius was initially scared and hissy with us, but once he realized he was among friends, he ate his fill and fell asleep almost immediately - he really needed the rest! He may have been trying to stay awake and safe for too long, but he is certainly safe now and is already displaying his gratitude. Darius was examined by his new vet friend, neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. His personality is really starting to show and it's a beautiful one - he's hoping to soon meet his forever family! On September 30, 2023, Darius was ecstatic to learn that his wait for the perfect family was over. He'd like to thank his friends at The Purrfect Cup for all the love and care provided to him while he waited for this very special day. Darius now lives with a family in Fredericton where he is the king of the household and spoiled beyond his wildest dreams! Congratulations, Darius! Send lots of photos! |
"Skyler" came to DunRoamin' on June 23, 2023 from the Florenceville area. Born about May 12, 2023, she was only about six weeks old. She had been found under a porch and needed help as she had no mother to feed or care for her, was very tiny, dehydrated, had upper respiratory infection and was very hungry. Skyler was fostered by her best friend Sarah who helped her put on weight and beat her infection, thanks to some really good medication. She is now doing very well and has a very outgoing personality. She loves humans, springs, other kittens and all the affection she can get! She with all her siblings are now spayed or neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and are FIV and FeLV negative. They are looking forward to meeting their new families soon. Update: on September 9, 2023 Skyler went to hang with her friends at the Purrfect Cup in Fredericton, why don't you stop by, enjoy a coffee, and meet her! On September 30, 2023, Skyler was very happy to be chosen as a friend for Roscoe, a new brother just slightly older than he, and is very excited to be part of a loving family in Fredericton. Thanks for giving him a new home and a new feline brother to run, play, wrestle and cuddle with. Congratulations to everyone! |

Stellar Stash |
"Stellar" and her sister Stash" came to DunRoamin' from the Mapledale area on November 21, 2022. It appeared that they may have been two cats who had escaped from a house fire several weeks earlier. They had been located in the general area, but had no place to call home anymore. Stellar has long hair and Stash has short hair. They are absolutely gorgeous! Born about March 22, 2022, they definitely needed some good food, a warm, safe place to recuperate and some friends to care for them. Both girls are now spayed, fully vaccinated, tested negative for FIV and FeLV and are treated for all parasites. Stellar is outgoing but her sister is a bit more shy. They love each other and would like to stay together if at all possible - they've been through a lot in their short little lives. On September 23, 2023, Stellar and Stash met a family from Fredericton who had seen their story on our Facebook page and decided they would like to meet them. They quickly fell in love and Stellar and Stash now live happily ever after together with their new humans. We are SO happy for you both! Please send lots of photos once you've settled in. We know it will take you a little bit of time to relax in your new environment, but we are looking forward to hearing about your wonderful new life very soon! |

Ariella and Estella |
"Ariella" a long-haired orange and white tabby, came to us on August 31, 2023 from the Bristol area where she had been found beside some garbage cans. Born about July 20, 2023, she was only about five weeks old, much too young to be away from her mother who was nowhere to be found. Ariella was emaciated, dehydrated, had fleas, ear mites, was matted and very hungry. She also smelled like she may have lived among the garbage for quite some time. Ariella was immediately provided with medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where she was examined, treated for all her issues and had her mats removed. She responded with love and purrs - very grateful to finally be warm, safe and have a full belly of nutritious food. She is a very grateful little girl who is now warm, safe, and thanks us every day for her new life. On September 1, she became even happier - please read about her sister Estella below. On September 23, 2023, Estella and Ariella were adopted together to a very nice family from Fredericton. They immediately fell in love with each other, and we are happy to know that they will always be together with their new family. Congratulations to all! Don't forget to send us photos as you grow - we can't wait to see you with your new family! |
Ariella and Estella |
"Estella" a short-haired orange and white tabby, came to us on September 1, 2023 from Bristol, NB, where she had been found beside some garbage cans. Please read about Ariella above, as we believe they are siblings. On this day, an adult cat was found dead on the road whom we believe may have been their mother. Estella was born about July 20, 2023 and was in worse shape than her sister Ariella. Estella was also emaciated, dehydrated, had fleas and ear mites, but she was not matted as she has short hair. However, Estella had a four-centimeter umbilical hernia, upper respiratory infection and a small ulcer on her palate. These things are all being addressed by her new best vet friend at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and we are certain she will be so much better in the very near future. She enjoys cuddling with her sister, sleeping curled up together and is definitely enjoying her soft warm bed and all the nutritious food she can eat. Estella and Ariella are now on their own with no mom. We hope that they may be adopted together so that they will always have each other. |

"Jackie" came to DunRoamin' on March 23, 2023 from the Jacksonville area where her owner was unable to care for her or provide required medical assistance. Jackie had dental disease, infected skin, discharge from her vulva and an upper respiratory infection. Thanks to the care provided by her vet tech foster mother, Jackie is now happy, healthy and a going concern. She is very affectionate and would love to have a nice, safe, warm retirement home in which to live out her remaining years. She is familiar with other cats, dogs, humans, and she loves them all! On September 20, 2023, Jackie was so happy to learn that she was no longer a foster cat but was a permanent, full-time, 100% MEMBER OF THE FAMILY!!! Thanks to her vet tech mother for fostering her, for helping her become so very healthy, for loving her and for making her so happy!! Congratulations to all! |

Although they had shelter, they did not have enough food and they were all underweight and had fleas, ear mites, worms and a very bad upper respiratory infection. They are all now receiving a nutritious diet as well as medications four times daily. Donations to help with food and meds for these fifteen cats and kittens are greatly appreciated. Alanis was born about June 29, 2020. She is a very nice girl who was doing her best to help feed and care for the dozen kittens around her. She is being treated for upper respiratory infection and had several wounds around her ears from scratching at parasites. She has been treated for all parasites and is receiving medication for upper respiratory infection. Once she is better and her kittens are weaned, she will be spayed, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV. Then, she hopes to have a home where she will be safe and loved forever. Acre |
"Acre" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Part of a colony in the Florenceville area, he, three adult female mothers and eleven more kittens (three male, nine female) were not doing well. Acre was born about May 11, 2023. He is a beautiful pewter grey kitten who is being treated for upper respiratory infection with medications four times daily and provided with lots of food which he and his family are devouring with gusto every day. Acre has been treated for all parasites. Once he is healthy, big and strong enough, he will be neutered, fully vaccinated and tested for FIV and FeLV. Then, he hopes to go to a home where he will be safe and loved forever. He'd love to be adopted with a sibling or at least go to a home that has other cats - he has never been alone and he loves his huge family - there's always someone to sleep, play or cuddle with! On September 15, 2023, Acre learned that he will be the newest addition to a family in Mazerolle Settlement that already has three DunRoamin' cats - Easton, Lonnie and Lorcan! Congratulations to everyone! Please send lots of photos! |
Flannel and Fleece< |
"Flannel" and "Fleece" came to us on August 31, 2023 from Connell where they had been found all alone in a barn. These two little grey tabbies were cold, wet, hungry, dehydrated, had ear mites and fleas and no one to care for them. They are very bonded and are much more comfortable when they can make physical contact with each other, so they have their own little room where they can eat, sleep, play and cuddle together at all times. It is our hope that Flannel and Fleece may be adopted together - they really seem to need each other. They are much too young to be on their own, and we have no idea what may have happened to their mom. They are eating well and have been provided with the best care possible. On September 13, 2023, Flannel and Fleece were adopted by a very nice couple from Florenceville who had met and fallen in love with them immediately. Although they will not be able to join their new family until their protocol is complete, they are SO happy to know they have a family who will love them for the rest of their lives and look forward to joining it in October. Thanks to their new family for keeping them together - they definitely love each other and we are very happy for them!

Cleo Catra *** Spoken for *** |
"Cleo Catra" came to us on July 3, 2023 from the Newburg area where she was yet another stray who had no one who could help her. She was very skinny, very hungry, had ear mites and other parasites as well as mild tartar on her teeth. Cleo Catra was born about July 4, 2020, so is only about three years old. She is very sweet and loves attention, people and especially being patted and brushed. Cleo is a very sweet girl who is looking forward to having a family who will care for her as she deserves. She has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccines, is FIV and FeLV negative and is hoping to meet her new family soon! On September 4, 2023, Cleocatra was adopted by a couple from Doaktown where she will have the best home ever! Once they had met her, they could not resist her charms. Congratulations, Cleocatra! Write soon and send us lots of photos of you and your new family! |
Blurry |
"Blurry" came to DunRoamin' on November 22, 2022 from the Woodstock area where he had been hanging around asking for food for quite some time. Although he would happily eat the food, he was not trusting of people and was considered feral. He had been born about November 1, 2020, so had probably been on his own since he was a kitten. Blurry was live trapped and brought for help where it was learned that he had numerous wounds on his body, perhaps from trying to fight for food. His mouth was in terrible shape and he required thirteen teeth to be removed. Blurry received all required medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and soon joined us at DunRoamin' where he is learning to be comfortable with his human servants. It was soon learned that he is diabetic, and as of February 6, 2023, is currently taking 3.5 units of Lantus insulin twice daily to help stabilize him. He is eating Purina DM food and Fancy Feast chicken or fish canned food and we hope to have his levels sorted out soon. He thanks everyone who has helped him, and he is very aware and grateful for the drastic improvement in his life and the many people who have made it possible. On September 3, 2023, Blurry went to live with his favourite person to whom he had pledged his undying love (as she had promised to him!). Blurry now lives the spoiled life of a well-loved little boy who enjoys his other feline brothers and his cat perch in front of the window where he soaks up the sun every day! Congratulations, Blurry! |
Phoenix |
"Phoenix" came to DunRoamin' on June 16, 2023 from Woodstock where she had been a stray who was hanging around. She had an injury on her right shoulder and needed help which no one could provide. Phoenix's new vet friend determined that Phoenix had been born about June 22, 2021. She had an open wound on her right should, minor tartar on her teeth, and fleas. Phoenix is being treated with medication to ensure her wound does not become more infected. Phoenix is a beautiful little girl who is friendly and appears to have had significant contact with humans before. She is completely healed and has been spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. She would like to have a new home, please - one where she will be safe, loved, and never have to worry about being wounded again. on Sept 2, 2023, Phoenix was luck to be adopted by a lady from Fredericton to be the new best friend of her young son. Have a great time Phoenix! Send pictures!!! |
Alina |
"Alina" came to DunRoamin' on June 28, 2023. Alina was born about May 11, 2023. She is a beautiful little white kitten with a grey smudge on her head who was lethargic upon arrival. She is being treated for upper respiratory infection with medications four times daily and provided with full bowls of food which she and her family are devouring with gusto every day. On August 23, 2023, Alexa and Alina were very excited to learn that they had been chosen by a family from Woodstock where they will live happily ever after! Thank you for choosing two new family members so that they will always have another furball with whom to run, play, sleep and wrestle. It makes all the difference, especially when you were raised with at least 12 other cats around you at all times. Thank you! |

"Sapphire" came to DunRoamin' from the Victoria County SPCA in Arthurette on March 20, 2023. She had recently finished nursing a litter of kittens, and as Cobalt, Jade and Garnet were only four weeks old and had no mom to care for them or teach them kitten things, she was very gracious to offer her care to these little ones and is responsible in good part for Cobalt, Jade and Garnet growing into beautiful little kittens. It is only due to their feline and human foster mother that these little ones are so strong, lively and have such beautiful personalities. Thanks to Sapphire and their human foster mother, Marley. Sapphire was born about December 30, 2021 and is a beautiful and loving little girl. She takes a short time to become familiar with new cats, and she is definitely familiar with dogs whom she tolerates with the haughtiness of any typical cat! The kittens are all now weaned and Sapphire is spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV, treated for all parasites and fully vaccinated, including all booster vaccines. She is currently living with several other of our cats and is doing well. She is hoping for a loving home very soon. Sapphire has travelled to Fredericton to visit her friends at the Purrfect Cup, please come see her! On August 19, 2023, Sapphire moved to Black's Harbour where she will be a new sister for June (now Kia) who was adopted almost exactly one year ago today! Congratulations to the entire family! Write soon and send lots of photos!! |

"Quenton" came back to DunRoamin' along with "Quiz" and "Cobble" on September 26, 2022. They had originally come to us as kittens who had a bad upper respiratory virus - so bad that each had to have an eye removed. Quiz and Cobble are sisters who were born about May 4, 2017. Quenton is approximately two months older, having been born about March 1, 2017, but they feel like sisters and are constantly together. They had been adopted together in 2017, but unfortunately, due to personal reasons their adopter had to return them five years later. They have never been separated and we hope that they may stay together, or at least be adopted with a friend so that they always have feline companionship. All three cats will stand on their hind legs to receive pats, and all are extremely affectionate and loving. Please come meet them - you won't be disappointed if you are looking for love, affection and attention! Update July 22, 2023 : Quenton and Cobble have joined the friends at the Purrfect Cup in Fredericton, why don't you go visit with them?On August 19, 2023, it was with great joy that we saw Cobble, Quenton and Quiz go to their forever home - TOGETHER!! Thanks to the generosity, kindness and love of a young couple from Fredericton, all three beautiful little girls get to stay together and are now spoiled rotten in their new home - just as they should be! We miss you all, but are SO pleased and happy that you have a new human family to add to your family of three. Congratulations! And to your new human family - we are so grateful. THANK YOU!! |

Glory Look at me Meow! |
"Glory" came to DunRoamin' on Novermber, 3, 2022 from the Woodstock area where she had been taken in by the NB SPCA. She was not in good shape. She was missing her left hind leg from the knee down - perhaps from birth, was underweight, had diarrhea and was not eating well at all. Feeling as poorly as she did, she did not have the energy or motivation to get up and use the litter box, so she used pee pads. Glory was cared for at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic until she was well enough to come back to us. Glory is now eating well, is using the litter box consistently and her diarrhea has pretty much been eliminated. Glory tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) - click here to read more about that. These cats can live long and healthy lives with this disease and are still loving, contributing family members. Glory is very loving and affectionate. Her vet has decided that her leg is 100% fine, so she will not require the rest to be amputated. She is spayed and fully up to date on vaccines and parasite control. Glory was born about January 4, 2022 and is a sweet cat. Please read up on FeLV - she is a beautiful cat who hopes for a permanent home soon. She deserves that - we all do! On July 29, 2023, Glory found her family at last! She now lives in Fredericton with her two new humans where she is treated like the queen she has been and always will be! Congratulations, Glory! We're looking forward to lots of photos and stories about you and your new life and family. |
** Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV) is found in cats worldwide. It may be spread by saliva, nasal secretions, urine, feces and milk from infected cats. Cat-to-cat transfer of the virus may occur from a bite wound, during mutual grooming and (though rarely) through the shared use of litter boxes and feeding dishes. Transfer may also take place from an infected mother cat to her kittens, either before they are born or while they are nursing. Although there has long been a stigma associated with this virus, these cats can live long and happy lives as only cats or with other cats who have FeLV. "Tabitha" came to DunRoamin' from the Perth-Andover area on March 31, 2023. Born about July 27, 2019, she required dental work which her owner could not afford. Tabitha was originally quite snippy with us, but when your mouth hurts, that's easily forgiven. She will undergo her dental surgery the last week of May and will be a whole new cat after that - no pain!!! Tabitha has the most gorgeous green eyes you'll ever see, and her personality has changed already to that of a happy, less-stressed little girl. She happily turns upside down when she sees once of her human servants and is now purring up a storm. She will be excited to begin a new life once her dental surgery is complete and is looking forward to meeting that perfect human with whom to bond for life! Tabitha went to join her friends at the Purrfect Cup on July 8th, 2023, please come visit her and have an espresso! On Jul 22, 2023, Tabitha was so very happy to join her new family in Stanley. She insists that she is the most beautiful cat in the building with her soft coat and fabulous green eyes, and most people have to agree! Congratulations on your new home, family and life, Tabitha. We can't wait to hear how happy you are in your new home, and we know you will be spoiled rotten by your family! Congratulations!! |

Zazzle |
"Zazzle" came to us on March 30, 2023 from Richmond Corner, NB. A stray who had been hanging around the area with no support, she was missing hair on her hind end and had lots of parasites, making her a bit cranky - who wouldn't be? Davy |
"Davy" On May 17, 2023, we received a small young kitten who had been part of a colony near Florenceville which we have been trying to help for some time. "Davy" had been born about April 3, 2023, and had gummy, infected eyes due to upper respiratory infection. He had been born about April 3, 2023 and his right eye was gummed shut with infection. Davy was checked out and treated by his new vet friend at Florenceville Veterinary Clinic. He is happily bedded down in a warm, soft, safe bed of his very own now, and thanks to some really good medication, is doing very well. He will continue his medical process and will be happy to find a new home once he is healthy, neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. He's doing very well and is a cute, affectionate, going concern! Stand by for more info as he grows a bit! He'll be looking for a home and family very soon. On July 12, 2023, Davy was excited to go to his new home in Hartland where he will be a new brother for former DunRoamin' stray Garnet, now known as Luna. They are looking forward to being best friends and playing together forever! Congratulations, Loki and Luna! Send lots of photos!! |
"Matcha" returned to DunRoamin' on December 31, 2022. He had originally come to us on June 1, 2021 from Craig's Flats where his owner could not keep him as he was unneutered and their cat kept having kittens. He was lean, had ear mites and scabs all over his body, perhaps from fighting with other unneutered cats. Matcha was born about June 1, 2020. Matcha originally came to DunRoamin' on June 1, 2021 from Craig's Flat, NB where he was a stray whose owner could not keep him. He had ear mites, he was lean and had scabs all over his body. He was not yet neutered. Matcha soon was fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and was neutered. HE was adopted in August, 2022, but his new owner soon found that her new job required her to travel too much and he was had to spend too much time alone. His owner knew that this was not the life he deserved, so Matcha came back to us. He is a very nice boy who is initially nervous, but once he is sure you're a good person, he settles in to be a great friend and companion. Please come meet him! On July 8, 2023, Matcha was very excited to go to a home in Richibucto Road where he will live very happily with his new family who loves him already and will give him the home, personal attention and family he deserves. Thanks for adopting another DunRoamin' stray - we know he'll have the best life ever! Send lots of photos, Matcha!! |

Hoover |
"Hoover" one of four beautiful little kittens, came to DunRoamin' along with his mom Henrietta (see above) from the Woodstock area on April 19, 2023. These four little ones were the result of yet another unwanted pregnancy - their mom was abandoned in a cardboard box on a stranger's doorstep and gave birth to the four little ones shortly afterward. All four kittens are beautiful, energetic, cute, cuddly and affectionate. They play constantly, then drop into a deep sleep in a warm, furry little pile of purrs. They'd love to be adopted in pairs - that way they'd always have a feline friend to play/sleep with and would always have company when their humans were away or sleeping. Please come meet these cute little furballs! All four kittens will be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites prior to being ready to go to a new home. They look forward to having a family of their very own! On July 8, 2023, both Hoover and Heist were adopted by a young couple from Fredericton. On January 28, 2011, "Goochi," just 10 weeks old, came to DunRoamin' from the Bristol area where she was one of three kittens who were feral, cold, hungry and very scared. They had a terrible amount of parasites, including fleas, ear mites and worms. All these troubles were quickly addressed. She was born about December 7, 2010. On August 31, 2021, she went to be a foster kitty with a DunRoamin' friend who has known her for years and finally has the opportunity to give her a home for the time being. Congratulations, Gooch!! Have a great time! On May 31, 2023, Goochi's dream came true. She had been a foster kitty for a young lady in Fredericton since August 24, 2021 and they had become the very best of friends, helping each other through good and bad times, sickness and health, and they always had the best in mind for each other. Goochi has come such a very long way thanks to this young lady and they very obviously love each other. Gooch and her friend will now live in Quebec where they will continue to love and take care of each other. From all of us at DunRoamin': thank you SO much for giving this little girl the home and family she has deserved for such a long time. We look forward to many photos and stories about your new life. Congratulations to both of you. We love you, Gooch! |
"Flirt" and her sister Poppet (see below) came to us on February 11, 2023 from the Greenfield area. She was living outside and appeared to have no one to care for her. She had parasites which were quickly treated. Flirt was also diagnosed with upper respiratory infection, but she is on medication and getting better by the day! On March 2, 2023, Flirt underwent dental surgery to remove several teeth that were not in good repair. We can tell she feels better already. She is doing well and regularly cuddles with her sister, Poppet - they're both doing fine and are hoping for a home together. She is very social and loves people. She is happy to be indoors, warm, safe and have lots of soft warm beds. Flirt was born about February 14, 2022, both she and her sister were about one year old. They are very attached to each other and it is our hope that they may be adopted together. Flirt has joined her friends at the Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe in Fredericton, please come see her! They are very fortunate little girls. |

"Poppet" and her sister Flirt (see above) came to us on February 11, 2023 from the Greenfield area. She was living outside and appeared to have no one to care for her. Born about February 14, 2022, she had parasites which were quickly treated. In addition, Poppet was underweight and her right eye displayed a previous injury which had apparently occurred some time ago but was now infected. She also required numerous teeth to be removed. On March 2, 2023, while performing surgery to remove Poppet's eye, her vet found a ball bearing approximately one centimeter in diameter in the back of her eye socket. It appears that Poppet had been shot and the ball bearing caused damage to her eye as well as the right side of her face. Numerous bone fragments were required to be removed during this surgery. Poppet is already feeling much better. She must be so relieved to have the ball bearing gone from her head - we're not sure how long it had been in there, but it definitely caused her pain and discomfort as she is showing more personality already. She also displays gratitude by head butting her caregivers - something she had not done before this surgery. We are grateful that she had the opportunity to have this surgery - without it, no one would have known about the ball of steel in her head. She is doing better each day and shows her gratitude to her caregivers. Thanks to her vet for finding and removing it - Poppet now has a pain-free chance of love, family and above all - safety. She looks forward to the day when she and her sister might be adopted into a loving home where they will live happily and well-loved ever after. Poppet has joined her friends at the Purffect Cup Cat Cafe in Fredericton, come visit her! On May 27, 2023, Flirt and Poppet were so very happy to leave for their new home with a wonderful young lady and her family. They will now live in Fredericton where they will live the life they deserve. We look forward to many photos. Thank you to their family for keeping them together! They are very fortunate little girls. |

"Wanda" came to DunRoamin' from McKenna, NB on June 13, 2022. She appears to have been born about June 13, 2017. She was diagnosed by her new vet friend to be lean, have ropey intestines, was matted, dirty and she was lame on her left hind leg. Investigation by her vet determined that she had a serious muscle tear in her quadriceps. Wanda was prescribed a medical regimen by her new vet friend at Florenceville Veterinary Clinic and she is now PERFECT! Just ask her. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. She is looking forward to the safe, loving home that we have promised her! Wanda is a perfect little girl who is sometimes referred to as "The Diva." She knows how beautiful she is, and she can often be seen fluffing her beautiful long coat. She loves to sleep on anything that has been left out such as a notebook, purse, laptop, jacket, box, etc. We believe Wanda is deaf, but she has absolutely no issues with it. She talks a little louder than some cats might, but that's okay, too, because we love it when she talks to us and tells us her demands! She is a beautiful little girl who is 100% ready for a home and a family who will spoil her rotten, as she knows she deserves! Please come meet her - you'll fall in love immediately! On February 5, 2023, Wanda went to visit her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hopes to meet her new family. Update 2023-05-21 : A young family who had met Wanda while she was at The Purrfect Cup had not been able to get her out of their minds! On May 21, 2023, they attended DunRoamin' to give her a permanent home so that she would be loved always! Wanda was happy to climb right up onto her new carrier and wait for the paperwork to be done, and then got into her carrier for the ride home. She is happy to have loving human parents and two young human sisters who will spoil her forever. Congratulations, Wanda, to you and to your new family. Please don't forget to send pictures and updates. We will miss you terribly, but are so happy you have a permanent family. We know you'll find lots of new things to sleep on! |

Seger was born about March 3, 2018, and had apparently been on his own for quite some time. He needed help. Seger's parasites were addressed, he was completely shaved to remove all the mats and his front left shoulder was stapled back together. A month later, he is purrfect again! On April 1, 2023, Seger went with his friends to spend some time at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, NB, where he immediately fell in love with their staff, including their new manager, Karen. Congratulations on finding lots of new friends, Seger! You'll have a home very soon with that sparking, loving personality you have! On April 22, 2023, Seger's dream came true when he was adopted by a young lady from Zealand where he will happily be spoiled for the rest of his life. He and his new family are both very excited and we look forward to hearing from all of you very soon! Be good, Seger! We'll miss you! |

Corduroy |
"Corduroy" came to us along with her mother Velvet and sisters Satin and Denim on February 17, 2023, from Wakefield where their owner was unable to care for them. Born about December 9, 2022, they were already weaned from their mom and will be ready for homes as soon as each is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasites. Each kitten was relatively healthy but had ear mites and a hernia which will be repaired at the time of their spay surgery. Corduroy is mostly black with some white. All are affectionate, energetic and curious little furballs! On March 15, 2023 she was adopted to a wonderful home in Fredericton. Congratulations!! |
"Dozer" came to DunRoamin' on January 2, 2023 from the Aroostook area. Born about January 5, 2018, he had a ruptured abscess on his face, he required dental work and both ears were cauliflower ears as a result of ongoing and extensive damage caused by a massive number of ear mites. As he was unneutered, he had a very strong aroma of urine. Dozer had been seen in the neighbourhood for many years but had no one to care for him. Dozer is a very nice boy. Now that he has received medical care and lots of love and attention from his DunRoamin' servants, he is showing himself to be a real sweetheart. He is grateful to all who have changed his life and is now neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and is completely rid of all those pesky, annoying, painful parasites. On March 11, 2023, Dozer went to spend some time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where he'll have a wonderful time while he waits to meet that special person who will invite him to join their family where he will be warm, safe, loved and spoiled for the rest of his life. Please come check out The Purrfect Cup - it's a wonderful cat cafe, and you'll love it! On April 1, 2023, Dozer was officially adopted by his new family in Fredericton. He had joined them a couple of days earlier and settled in so perfectly! We are so grateful that he has such a wonderful and loving home and family. Congratulations, Dozer. We know you'll get lots of hugs and love. Don't forget to stay in touch! |

"Kazu" came to DunRoamin' on January 1, 2023. Her name means "first", so we thought it very fitting! Kazu had been born about September 1, 2022, and was found all alone in Bannon, NB with no family to care for her. As her rescuer could not help her, she came to us. Kazu was examined by her new best vet friend on New Year's Day. She had porcupine quills in her face and paw, had fleas, was underweight and dehydrated. Thanks to her vet, her quills were removed and she was provided with the medical care she requires to become strong and healthy. Kazu purrs constantly, very happy and grateful to be warm, safe and have a full belly and friends to wait on her every wish and dream. She looks forward to being adopted into a loving family where she will be safe and loved forever. On February 19, 2023, she went to spend time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup while she awaits a new home. On April 1, 2023, Kazu went to join her new family in Hanwell where she will be spoiled beyond her wildest dreams. And this is her best dream ever! And it came true! Congratulations, Kazu! Send lots of photos! |

Velvet |
"Velvet" and her three kittens Corduroy, Satin and Denim (see below) came to DunRoamin' on February 17, 2023 from Wakefield where their owner was unable to provide the care they required. Velvet was born about February 17, 2022, so was only about a year old and already had three children to care for! Velvet was relatively healthy, had ear mites and was not yet spayed. She was initially timid, but has become more and more social with each passing day. She is grateful to have a place for her and her three babies - they are all weaned and doing well, although each has a hernia which will be repaired during their spays. On March 28, 2023, both Velvet and her daughter Satin were adopted to a very nice couple in Woodstock where they'll live out their lives with lots of love and companionship. They will also enjoy the windows and patio doors on the other side of which live plenty of birds and squirrels! Congratulations to you and your new family!! Don't forget to write! |
Satin |
"Satin" came to us along with her mother Velvet and sisters Corduroy and Denim on February 17, 2023, from Wakefield where their owner was unable to care for them. Born about December 9, 2022, they were already weaned from their mom and will be ready for homes as soon as each is fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for parasites. On March 28, 2023, both Velvet and her daughter Satin were adopted to a very nice couple in Woodstock where they'll live out their lives with lots of love and companionship. Brandon |
"Brandon" came to DunRoamin' from the Bedell area on January 8, 2023, as a stray who had been hanging around the area with no one to care for him. He was not in good shape. Born approximately January 9, 2015, Brandon was dehydrated, emaciated, had an extremely large flea and ear mite burden, had dental disease and severe upper respiratory infection. Brandon's face was bloody from discharge from his nose and was covered with mucous. He had a hard time breathing and was exhausted with very few reserves remaining. He thanks his rescuer for introducing him to a new life where people would love, help and provide for him. As of February 17, 2023, Brandon is doing much better. He has gained 2.5 lbs since his arrival, his upper respiratory is much better and he is a very grateful little boy to be in such good health! On March 25, 2023, Brandon was adopted by a young lady from Fredericton. She had seen him on our website and felt immediately attracted, but upon meeting him face to whiskers, they both knew it was written in the stars! Brandon easily won her heart and vice versa. We are so happy for both of you! Congratulations!!! |
Wade ***Spoken For*** |
"Wade" came to DunRoamin' on February 24, 2023 from the Woodstock area where he was a stray who had been staying under a shed. He had fleas, was very matted, cold and hungry. A kind lady had caught him and given him temporary shelter, but could not keep him. Wade came to us as a slightly stressed-out little boy, but once his mats were removed and his fleas were treated, he felt SO much better and his personality started to show. Wade is a beautiful, friendly, loving little boy who will purr up a storm if you only look at him! He is all sweetness and light - SO grateful for a warm bed, lots of nutritious food and servants to wait on him hand and foot. He is now neutered and he tested negative for FIV and FeLV. He will be fully up to date on vaccines by the end of March and is looking forward to having a family who will care for him for the rest of his life! Enough with these cold winter nights with no food or decent shelter - he loves his new life!! He has a beautiful long orange tabby coat and he can't wait to show it off once it grows back! With all this good nutrition, it will be gleaming and gorgeous! Come meet him! On March 25, 2023, Wade was ecstatic to move to his new home in Hartland where he will be a new friend for Boo. As an added bonus, Kuffner, whom Wade adores, also went as a foster cat! Congratulations, everyone! Stay in touch, Wade!! |
Denim |
"Denim" came to us along with her mother Velvet and sisters Satin and Corduroy on February 17, 2023, from Wakefield where their owner was unable to care for them. Denim and her sister Satin are completely black and are virtual twins - they even weighed exactly the same on their day of arrival! All are affectionate, energetic and curious little furballs! On March 24, 2023, Denim was adopted by a lovely family from Oromocto. We look forward to hearing from you really soon, Denim. Congratulations!! |
"Wish" came to DunRoamin' on December 11, 2022. Born about November 9, 2022, she had come from Centreville where she had been found on a doorstep at a location where a colony is located close by. She was tiny and underweight, but, with the assistance of her new DunRoamin' caretaker was soon double her original weight thanks to a quality diet of Kitten Milk Replacer (KMR). She was soon eating on her own. She was fostered by a wonderful supporter in Florenceville where she was spoiled exactly as she should be! Wish returned to DunRoamin' where she showed her excitement, curiosity and a very high level of energy. She loves to run, play, jump, wrestle, attack toys and investigate anything, especially if it moves! Wish would like to join a household with another young cat with whom to interact and burn off her energy by running, playing and wrestling. She is much too energetic for an older cat, but will be perfect with someone close to her own age. She is spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Now, all she needs is a loving home with another kitten with whom to play! She is a real sweetheart! On March 11, 2023, she went to spend some time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, NB, where she hopes to meet her new family. Thanks to The Purrfect Cup for fostering her! Please check them out - they're fantastic!! On March 17, 2023, Wish was adopted by a very nice young lady from Fredericton where she will be spoiled for the rest of her life just like she should be! Congratulations!! Send lots of photos, little Wish! |

"Viola" came to DunRoamin' on January 9, 2023 from Hartland, NB, where she had been found under a deck. There were no other cats around and the weather was typically cold January - she had no real shelter. Viola was born about January 10, 2022 and is polydactyl. Examination by her new vet friend at Florenceville Veterinary Clinic discovered an abscess on her left hind foot, but she was otherwise healthy. A bit of medication, some nutritious food and a warm, safe bed with lots of friends changed her entire life. Viola is now up to date on all her vaccines and is ready to go to a new home. She looks forward to a family who will love her and a safe, indoor home forever. On February 19, 2023, she went to spend time with her friends at The Purrfect Cup where she hopes to meet her new family. On March 11, 2023, Viola was very happy to learn that she had been chosen as a new best friend for a lady in Woodstock. They will share everything, and Viola is so very grateful for her new family. |
"Chrome" came to DunRoamin' on November 24, 2022 from Florenceville where he had been live trapped in an area known to have several unowned cats hanging around, many of whom are alleged to be feral. Chrome was born about September 10, 2022 and is a very sweet boy. He doesn't have a feral bone in his body - he loves people! Chrome is a sweetheart who is already relatively healthy. Instead of growing up with no humans to care for him, he now has a DunRoamin' family and is hoping for his own permanent family soon. Chrome is fully vaccinated, neutered, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. He is currently spending time with his friends at The Purrfect Cup awaiting that purrfect home! On March 11, 2023, Chrome left to join his new family in Saint John where he'll be spoiled rotten - he says that's the exact way it should be for every cat! Congratulations, Chrome! Write soon! |
|
"Endora" came to DunRoamin' on July 29, 2022 from Perth-Andover as a pregnant stray. She was due to give birth, but no one could take her in, and it's not safe to have babies outdoors in the extreme heat we've been experiencing with no one to protect them except the mom who would be working extremely hard to find food, keep her babies safe, feed them and find them shelter. Endora was born about August 2, 2021, so was really just a kitten herself.

Chicory Look at me Meow! |
"Chicory" returned to DunRoamin' on December 6, 2022. He had been adopted in June, 2020, but had been returned as his family was no longer able to care for him, which is our policy. Chicory was born about June 1, 2010 and is a real sweetheart. Chicory had lost weight and some muscle mass. His new vet friend is working on getting him back up to scratch! He has been given vaccines and is now on Methimazole which has rastically improved his medical condition. He is a friendly, purring, happy, playful little boy who hopes for a new home very soon. Please give us a call if you'd like to meet him. He's about twelve years old and set in his personality which is "I love humans, I want to cuddle, I want to keep you company." He is a sweetheart and a real prize for anyone who loves feline company! On March 8, 2023, Chicory was introduced to a lovely couple from Moncton who had seen him online and fallen in love. In addition to his personality and good looks, they were drawn to the fact that they have another cat who has hyperthyroidism and is on the exact same medication and dose and Chicory! They wanted to help another cat have a wonderful life and since they were already familiar with his medical issue, they chose him. How wonderful! Thank you so much for driving all the way from Moncton to meet Chicory and to give him such a wonderful home. We look forward to hearing from you, Chicory, and about how wonderful your new life is! |
Claus |
"Claus" came to us from the Anfield area on December 21, 2022, where he had been in bad shape. Born about November 8, 2014, he had been emaciated, had a very heavy flea burden, was dehydrated and all in all not feeling well. A kind lady had been trying to help him but was unable to undergo the medical care he required. Claus is a beautiful boy. He is extremely social, kind and loving - very grateful to have all the things he has dreamed of. It's a very nice Christmas for him and he certainly shows his appreciation. He is already neutered and will have his vaccines up to date very soon. He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), but that's no big deal. He is well on his way to being healthy and he is certainly very happy. He would love to have a safe, warm, loving home for the rest of his life - he certainly deserves that! He'd love it if his friend Carol could be adopted with him - as far as we know, they have always been together, and they obviously love and give friendship and comfort to each other! On March 3, 2023, Clause and his best friend Carol were excited to learn that they had been chosen by a young family from Woodstock to be their newest members. Both Carol and Claus are exceptionally affectionate and loved the entire family, so they are very grateful to be invited to join it. Thanks for keeping them together. They have been best friends for as long as we know and they definitely love each other. Don't forget to send photos! |
Carol |
"Carol" came to DunRoamin' on December 21, 2022, from the Anfield area where she had been living in a place that did not provide for all her needs. She was taken in by a kind lady, but she could not provide for her as she believed she deserved, so Carol came to us. Carol was born about November 8, 2015 and was underweight, already spayed and she tested negative for FIV and FeLV. She is a very beautiful little calico who is social, loving and affectionate. She came from the same place as her friend, Claus, and would love to be adopted into a home where they both might stay together and love and be loved for the rest of their lives. Carol is spayed, will be brought up to date on her vaccines and she tested negative for FIV and FeLV. Her friend Claus, who came with her, tested positive for FIV, but that's no big deal - it's spread through deep bite wounds, and she and Claus have been best friends for years - they won't spread it between themselves. We hope that these two beautiful little senior citizens will be fortunate enough to find a loving home for their senior years where they can experience love, kindness and the life they both have always deserved. On March 3, 2023, Carol and her best friend Claus were excited to learn that they had been chosen by a young family from Woodstock to be their newest members. Both Carol and Claus are exceptionally affectionate and loved the entire family, so they are very grateful to be invited to join it. Thanks for keeping them together. They have been best friends for as long as we know and they definitely love each other. Don't forget to send photos! |
"Spruce" came to DunRoamin' on December 21, 2022 from Florenceville where we have been trying to help spay/neuter a colony of cats for quite some time. Spruce was born about September 21, 2022 and came from the same place as Wholihan, Chrome, Corporal, Star, Garland, Bauble and Halo. Unfortunately, Halo was not able to survive (see our Pet Memorials page). Spruce was born about September 21, 2022 and was relatively healthy upon arrival - just cold, scared, hungry and homeless - not a good way to start a young life. He thanks the lady who rescued him and brought him for help. Spruce loves to purr. He is a sweet, friendly, affectionate and playful little boy who loves people. He will be neutered, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. He will then be ready to go to a loving home. Please come meet him - you'll fall in love. On February 19, 2023, Spruce was very happy to be adopted by a family in Fredericton who had fallen in love with him on their frequent visits to The Purrfect Cup. We would like to thank Shona, Corey and all the staff at The Purrfect Cup for taking such great care of our cats and helping to find them homes. Congratulations, Spruce! Don't forget to write and send lots of photos - we can't wait to see how happy you are in your new family! |

Holiday |
"Holiday" came to DunRoamin' on December 21, 2022 from Florenceville where we have been trying to help spay/neuter a colony of cats for quite some time to help ensure that they have a safe place to live and do not continue to add to the growing number of homeless cats. Holiday was born about September 21, 2022 and came from the same place as Wholihan, Chrome, Corporal, Star, Garland, Bauble, Holiday and Halo. Unfortunately, Halo was not able to survive (see our Pet Memorials page). Holiday is a sweet little girl. Born about November 4, 2022, she is a long-haired sweetheart. She loves to play, loves people and loves other cats. She will be spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. Once this protocol is completed, she will be ready and eager for a loving home. Please come meet her! On February 19, 2023, Holiday met her new family. She now lives in Fredericton with her new human siblings and Millie, a beautiful long-haired tuxedo kitty who will fall in love with her in no time flat - everyone else has! Congratulations to you, Millie and your new human family! Don't forget to send photos!! |
"Grinch" came to DunRoamin' on December 6, 2022 from Bath where he was found wandering all alone near the Diner Down Under. Grinch was not in good shape. He had a large number of fleas, an old wound on his side and a very bad case of upper respiratory infection which made it difficult for him to breathe properly. He was not yet neutered. Grinch was born about December 6, 2021, so was only about a year old and much too young to be out on his own to deal with his maladies. Grinch is now warm, safe, on medication for his upper respiratory infection and he has been neutered. He is getting a good and nutritious diet which he is inhaling with gratitude - he needs to put on some weight!! He will be fully vaccinated, treated for all parasites and is now neutered. He hopes for a warm, safe home for Christmas once he is healthy enough. We hope that will be soon. On February 19, 2023, Grinch was chosen by a very nice lady whose young daughter had fallen in love with Grinch (and vice versa). Grinch now lives in Fredericton with this new family. Congratulations, Grinch, and congratulations to your new family! Write soon and tell us about your wonderful new life!! Thanks to all our friends at The Purrfect Cup, Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, for taking such great care of Grinch during his stay with them! You rock!! |

"Donna" came to DunRoamin' on December 7, 2022 from Hartland where she and her friend Cindy Mew Who had been abandoned in a box in the lobby of an apartment building. No one could care for them. Donna is healthy and has now started her vaccines. She will be tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Upper Respiratory Infection and will be spayed. She is hoping for a new home, preferably with her friend Cindy Mew Who, if possible - they appear to be pretty close, even though they are not siblings. Donna was born about August 7, 2022, so is about a month younger than Cindy Mew Who. On February 19, 2023, Donna was very excited to learn that she had been adopted by a wonderful family from Fredericton who had adopted another DunRoamin' cat, Raya (formerly Truffle) on July 17, 2021. Donna will be a sister for Raya, Lily (a 14-year old cat) and Wendel (their dog) and will also have two young children to grow up with who LOVE animals! We are so happy that you have selected another DunRoamin' cat to enjoy your family - thank you SO much! Thanks also to Shona, Corey and their staff at The Purrfect Cup for all their support, love and care for these little furballs while they enjoy their time at this wonderful cat cafe. Please come check it out - you'll LOVE it there - we all do!! |

Wyla |
"Wyla" came to DunRoamin' on September 22, 2022 from Florenceville where she had been peeing inappropriately and her family no longer wanted her. She was born about Septenber 22, 2017. |
Wholihan Look at me meow! |
"Wholihan" came to DunRoamin' on December 1, 2022 from the Florenceville area where he had been live trapped at the same place as Corporal (see above). There are several cats and kittens living in the area who have no one to care for them and have been fortunate enough to have people catch them and take them for help. Wholihan is a nice little boy who was born about September 22, 2022. Upon his arrival he had worms and desired a nice warm bed and good food, which he received. Wholihan will be neutered, fully vaccinated, treated for parasites and tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus. He will then be ready for a loving home. He hopes that one of his friends can go with him or that he might have a feline friend already in the home he goes to. He's looking forward to his very first Christmas - we hope it's a merry one! On February 11, 2023, Wholihan was so happy to go to his new home in Geary where he will be very well loved by his new family. Congratulations to all! Send lots of photos, little one!! |
"Flour" originally came to DunRoamin' on October 3, 2022 from Oak Mountain, NB, where she was found all alone on Speerville Road. Born about August 15, 2022, she was only about six weeks old - too young to be away from her mother and family. She was underweight, had an extensive number of fleas, she had a purulent discharge from her vagina and her right hip was dislocated which required surgery to remove her femoral head. Her surgery was very successful and Flour is once again a going concern. Flour was adopted to a home on December 5, 2022, but one of the older cats was not happy to have a younger, energetic, jumping, running, playing kitten in the home and became stressed to the point that her health went downhill, so Flour came back to us to find another appropriate home. She is loving, affectionate, playful and attentive to all humans. She loves other cats, too, and her energy level and playfulness say she'll do very well in a home with another cat of similar age so they can run, wrestle and play together to burn off that kitten energy! She loves people and loves to cuddle! Flour is hoping for a new home very soon. She is a beautiful little girl who is very eager to join a new family. On February 5, 2023, Flour was adopted by a lady from Fredericton who had fallen in love with her on the very first day they met (and vice versa). Congratulations to you and your new family, Flour. Please write soon and send lots of photos! |

You've come a very long way since "Day 1"! Don't forget to send photos - we would love to see you growing up in your new family! |

Cindy Mew Who |
"Cindy Mew Who" came to us on December 7, 2022 from Hartland, NB. She and her friend Donna had been abandoned in a box in the lobby of an apartment building. Cindy was born about September 7, 2022 and had an upper respiratory infection. She is being treated for that and has started her vaccines. She is pretty skinny, but she is now on a good diet and is receiving the care that any little kitten deserves. She will be fully vaccinated, spayed, tested for FIV and FeLV and treated for all parasites. We hope she can find a new home soon, hopefully as a Christmas present! On January 28, 2023, Cindy Mew Who met a young lady with whom she immediately bonded. Cindy now lives in Fredericton with her new family which also includes Layla, her new feline friend who will benefit greatly with the addition of her new friend. Congratulations, Cindy, to you and your new family. Don't forget to send lots of photos so we can watch you grow up! |
"Honour" came to us from Centreville on November 1, 2022, where she had been found in a garage with no other cats present and had no one to care for her. Having been born about August 31, 2022, she was only about two months old. Honour was treated for her infection, spayed, fully vaccinated, tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and Feline Leukemia (she tested negative for both) and was treated for all parasites. She loved playing with all her friends and soon was very social and relaxed. On January 18, 2023, Honour went to stay with her friends at The Purrfect Cup in Two Nations Crossing, Fredericton, where she hopes to meet the family that will love her forever. Have fun, Honour! Congratulations to everyone - you all have the best you could possibly have now! We are so happy for everyone! |
|
Thackery |
"Thackery" returned to DunRomain' on December 27, 2022. He had originally been adopted in September, 2022, but a pre-existing cat in the household did not take kindly to a new resident, so as it was not a pleasant environment for either cat, Thackery came back to us to find a new home. Thackery is a sweetheart. He loves people and is extremely affectionate. He is buff orange with white and has beautiful eyes that gaze at his humans with love. He might like to be an only cat, or perhaps have only one sibling, as he prefers as much attention from his humans as possible and he loves snuggling! Thackery originally came to us from a colony in Woodstock on July 4, 2022. He had some dental issues at the time, but the removal of two teeth fixed that and he is currently fine. He was born about June 28, 2017 and would love to have a home of his very own. On January 27, 2023, Thackery had the honour of being chosen as the newest family member of a young couple from Fredericton where he now lives happily ever after. Congratulations, Thackery. Don't forget to write! We will miss you! |
"Ira" and his sister "Hero" came to DunRoamin' on November 8, 202,2 from the Centreville area where they had been found alone in a garage. No mother was present or had been seen for several days, and they were much too young to be on their own. They were born about August 21, 2022. Hero and Ira both had a bad upper respiratory infection. Their eyes were partially glued shut with infection and they had a bit of difficulty breathing. Their new vet friend quickly helped remedy that by cleaning the mucous from their eyes and nose and providing medication to help them overcome the infection. Neither of these little ones should have been away from their mother just yet, but they were soon starting to thrive, once they were warm, safe have had their upper respiratory infection addressed and were receiving lots of healthy, nutritious food. They were soon healthy and strong enough to be spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated including all booster shots, tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and treated for all parasites. Hero was adopted to a wonderful home in Charlottetown, PEI, on December 22, 2022. Ira is hoping to be just as fortunate. He currently lives with Elias, Elijah, Elliot and Honour and they love playing, wrestling, cuddling and chasing each other around the room! Then, they collapse into a furry, purring kitten pile and take a nice, long, happy nap before starting all over again! They'd love to have a new home - and they'd love to have a friend go along with them so they always have another feline companion with whom to interact! On January 18, 2023, Ira was so very happy to join his new family in Fredericton. He is now the new friend of some old friends of DunRoamin' and will be spoiled just as he deserves! He settled in quickly and he and Simon, a former DunRoamin' dog, will be the very best of friends. Thanks to this wonderful family for making another DunRoamin' stray part of their home and family. Congratulations!! Thanks for the photos, Ira! Keep 'em coming! |

Star Bauble Garland |
"Star" and her daughter, "Bauble" (black and white) and son "Garland" (grey tabby) came to us on December 15, 2022 from the Florenceville area where they had been trying to survive under a step. They may be related to Chrome, Wholigan and Corporal as they all came from the same location - a place where people routinely drop off unwanted cats who have not been spayed or neutered, leading to a colony of cats who are uncared for. Most are scared and they can easily become sick and injured. Star and her babies will be assessed by their new vet friend as soon as possible and will begin their intake routine of spays, vaccinations, tests and parasite control. We hope for a new and loving home for all of them so they may live the life they deserve. Stay tuned! On January 18, 2023, Star and her babies Garland and Bauble were all adopted by a very nice couple from Lakeville Corner, NB. We'd like to thank them for adopting all three and keeping the family together. They will have a great life and their room is already full of toys, cat trees and lots of other wonderful things for them to enjoy. Thank you again for keeping this beautiful family together and giving them a loving family! Congratulations!! |
"Elija" came to DunRoamin' on July 29, 2022 from Perth-Andover in his mom Endora. On January 18, 2023, Elijah was adopted by a family from Charters Settlement. He is very happy to have this wonderful new home and family - he's been waiting his whole life!! Congratulations, Elijah! Don't forget to write and send lots of photos so we can watch you grow up! |

"Loggins," his sister Messina (see below) and mom, Janis, came to us on August 9, 2021 from Centreville where Janis and her babies had no one to care for them after Messina became very ill. Loggins and Messina were born about July 22, 2021, so were only a couple of weeks old and not doing well. All were soon placed under the care of the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic where they received the medical assistance they required. They were fostered by a nice lady in Florenceville while they awaited their vaccine protocol and spays/neuters to be completed. Because Loggins was timid compared to his sister Messina, we would like them to stay together - he did much better with his sister as company. On December 10, 2021, they went to spend some time with their friends at The Purrfect Cup Cat Cafe - it's wonderful there! Please drop in and have a great cup of coffee while you enjoy the company of some very nice cats!! Eventually Loggins and Messina came back to DunRoamin' when they developed an upper respiratory infection. They currently have the run of our Nursery - the Rodney Chase Memorial Room. We hope you will come meet them - they are sweet, inquisitive, loving, playful and entertaining little kittens! They have been waiting for a loving home of their very own for some time - we hope they can meet that special human very soon. On January 18, 2023, Loggins and Messina were very happy to be adopted by a wonderful gentleman from Woodstock. They very quickly settled in and are very grateful for their new family. Congratulations to everyone - this was meant to be! |
"Buckley" was born about February 23, 2020 and returned to DunRoamin' on November 22, 2022. Buckley had been adopted in June, 2022, but a pre-existing cat in the household did not take well to having a new feline in his home and began bullying him. Despite all countermeasures, the bullying could not be stopped, so Buckley returned to DunRoamin' to find a new home. Buckley was diagnosed with a bit of cystitis, but was quickly prescribed medication to deal with it. Buckley is doing very well and is a happy little camper once again. Buckley originally came from the Canterbury area with an injured right hind leg. The injury was so severe that amputation was required, but he is doing exceedingly well now. He is pain-free and can easily navigate any place in the house! He is a happy, affectionate and loving little boy who is looking forward to having a new home - hopefully for Christmas. On January 17, 2023, Buckley was elated to learn that he had been adopted by a young gentleman from Fredericton. He will have one other cat friend and be spoiled by two cat-loving humans. Congratulations, Buckley. It was well worth waiting for! Don't forget to write and send us lots of photos!! |

Burger |
"Burger" came to DunRoamin' on November 26, 2022 from the Woodstock area where he had been a stray who had been trying to survive around A&W by eating scraps. He was not in good shape when a young lady decided to live trap him so that he could get help. He is now undergoing medical care at the Florenceville Veterinary Clinic. Burger had injured ears, one of which required surgery. His previously-broken leg must be removed and his injured eye requires enucleation. He has undergone these surgeries and is already feeling much better. He will still require medical care for a few weeks, but he's getting the best of care from his new best vet friend. It all gets so much better from here, Burger - we are so glad you have this opportunity! Get well soon! On January 10, 2023, Burger was adopted by a lady who will ensure he gets the best possible care for the rest of his life. Congratulations, Burger!! |
Merri |
"Merri" came to us on December 15, 2022 from the Gordonsville area where she had been found on a doorstep. There were no homes within quite a distance and she was relatively healthy except for ear mites, so it is assumed she may have been dropped off. As no one could take her in, the weather was cold and the chance of her running into predators was great, she came to us. Merri was examined by her new vet friend who determined that she had been born about December 15, 2021, so was only about a year old. Merri was very friendly and familiar with the indoor life. She was provided with parasite control and her first vaccines and was booked for her spay, vaccine boosters and Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus tests and will be ready for a home very soon. She is extremely friendly, loving and attentive and hoped for a home for Christmas. On January 6, 2022, Merri, whose original name was Tyrone, was happy to return to her original home when her owner noticed her on this website. She had gotten out of her home several weeks previously and her owners had been unable to locate her. She will now complete her protocol of vaccines and be spayed and will return to her home where her family will ensure she does not have the opportunity to get out into this unsafe world again. She had wandered several miles over several weeks and is very fortunate to be returned safe, secure and healthy to her family. Congratulations, Merri! Happy New Year!

Merit Merit Meow! |
"Merit", "Banner" and "Cannon" came to DunRoamin' on November 4, 2022 from Royalton, NB, where they had been found in a garage. No mother was seen nor had been located. On January 4, 2023, Merit was adopted by a wonderful couple to a home in Fredericton where she will be a new sister for Kent and Caplan, two of our favourites who were adopted on February 27, 2021 by this family. Congratulations! Send lots of photos! |
